Driving to Dekker’s Hair Den in Port Moody on the morning of September the 3rd felt like a Summer vacation just about to begin. As soon as I walked in it was all smiles and they didn’t stop for the rest of the day. And talk about smiles, the bride Charlotte had one of the most gorgeous smiles I had ever seen. And I wasn’t the only one who noticed! Charlotte’s beautiful smile was mentioned several times in the speeches that night.
The ceremony was amazing. Held at Our Lady of the Assumption in Port Moody, I situated myself across the church waiting for Charlotte to step in with her father. The atmosphere in the church changed as soon as she set foot down the isle, her smile glowing as she reached towards Paul.
Paul, who we learned through the evening’s speeches was “Mr. Perfect,” lived in Saskatchewan but decided to drive back to Vancouver with Charlotte after their mission trip. Friends of both clued in pretty quickly why. I’m sure you can imagine what happened next.
The love between Charlotte and Paul was indescribable. Every time they caught each other’s eye they beamed. And let me tell you, it was infectious! We had an amazing time taking photos together on the beach where Paul proposed.
At the end of the day, I wished that Paul and Charlotte weren’t moving back to Saskatoon. The warm energy we felt from them as a couple made us wish we could get to know each other and spend time together. I wish them the best of luck for their new lives in Saskatoon! They are such open and loving people, we certainly aren’t the only ones who will miss them!
