The week had been a little iffy with weather, but come Saturday morning there wasn’t a cloud in the sky for Larisa & Micah’s big day. Arriving at the house the girls were already busy with their hair and makeup. The front room was full of smiling ladies and a lot of hairspray. When I first met Larisa (La-REESE-ah!!!) she was very laid back about thoughts of her wedding, even during their engagement shoot both Larisa and Micah were pretty chill about the whole thing. And that’s exactly the kind of people they are. Chill. Soooo my kind of people. And that’s one of the many reasons these two are so great together. Cheesey, down-to-earth, chill people meant for one another.
But no matter how chill these two were, the emotions that day were felt by all. The FEELS! Overwhelmingly beautiful. Tears were shed by sisters, brothers, mothers, and even the bride and groom themselves. Tissues just went up a few points in the stock market. As soon as Micah saw Larisa walk down the isle arm in arm with her parents tears immediately began to flow – from both parties! And darn it if I can’t keep it professional enough to not shed a tear myself. I love it when the groom gets emotional, how amazing is that?
Larisa and Micah exited the church through an ocean of bubbles and then spent the next hour with me snapping portraits at City Hall. The entire time the two of them were doing what they do best – being chill, funny, down-to-earth people. And best of all, being in love. It was a great relaxed session. I can’t wait to share the photos with you! Larisa & Micah – So in love they’ll make you puke!
Be sure to look out for the custom made “barf bags” that Larisa made for the candy bar! Quite the DIYer! She also made custom jerseys of all Micah’s favourite Canucks for each table! Amazing!
